Top 3 Toast Trends To Try In Seoul – Pimp My Toast
Seoul Top 3 Toasts To Try
The toast trend is taking off!
Gone are the days of boring two triangle sandwiches wedged with gross yellow margarine being served…. Nowadays, Toast should be tasty AND trendy.
Seoul has BUMPED it up to the next level and totally PIMPED toast! Instagram is BUZZING with beautiful square photos of pimped out toast on the tables of the hottest cafes.
Here is my list of Seoul’s top 3 toast trends. Watch my vlog to see when I visited each of these cafes and tried out each trend. Below the video are all the details and pictures.
Summer Forest Toast
This beautifully decorated toast is loaded with delicious toppings such as Jeju green tea matcha spread, kiwi fruit and peach slices, jam, creamy butter and pat (Korean red bean paste) This might sound like a bizarre combination but it is DELICIOUS.

Wave Toast
These toasts are whimsical, great for Instagram and tasty too. Lashes of cream cheese in a myriad of pink and blue shades are painted on to your slice of toast. The wave toast is also served with butter and jam. I recently met two Japanese girls in a cafe in Seoul. They were seated next to me and I could see that they were looking at photos of this toast on Instagram. I decided to chat to them and asked them if they had tried the wave toast. They hadn’t as yet and were very excitedly planning their route on the subway of just exactly how they would find Mid Century Mood Cafe. Case in point. This stuff is a HIT.

Basil Pesto and cream cheese toast
Herbs such as coriander, basil and fennel are some of the things I miss most in food in Korea. I throughly enjoying cooking with these herbs but they are usually not easy to source here. When I see basil or something with basil pesto in it, I GRAB it! The combination of basil pesto and cream cheese is an especially great pairing. I’ve been back to Low Coffee three times since tasting this. This toast trend can stay for as long as it wants.
