This summer in Korea was unlike any summer I have ever experienced. This was due to a few reasons… I had never experienced such heat and humidity sandwiched together. (Yes, I was born in a subtropical city, but I was a baby at the time and was pushed around in a pram, no sweat!!). This time, I walked as a working adult from pillar to post in a blanket of heavy heat and with high levels of humidity that played havoc with my asthma.
Sometimes it’s best to start a story at the end. After all, it is a very Chinese thing to start reading a book from the back…
It was my last day in Seoul. I had a few hours left before I was due to catch my flight home.
